Breast Cancer Awareness Virtual Conference - October 2022

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) was a significant event that aimed to enhance cancer literacy and knowledge within the population. The focus was on improving awareness, early detection, treatment, rehabilitation, and survivorship of cancer patients, with a special emphasis on women’s health.

During this time, the E-Center for Women’s Cancers and Maternal Health organized a virtual conference dedicated to breast cancer. The primary objective of this conference was to raise public awareness and stress the importance of early detection. It was recognized that increased cancer awareness could motivate individuals to adopt healthier lifestyle choices.

The conference had several specific goals:

  • Eliminate the stigma and fear associated with a cancer diagnosis.
  • Provide essential information about the significance of regular cancer screening.
  • Assist people in recognizing the early signs and symptoms of cancer.
  • Educate the public about the key risk factors associated with breast cancer.
